Allen & Young are licensed by the Environment Agency to clear and dispose of your unwanted household items. Our teams can not only carefully move the belongings that you do need, but we can safely reuse, recycle or dispose of those that you don’t.
We offer comprehensive house and office clearance solutions, and often combine them with our removal services. Our clients have found this option especially useful, particularly when moving into a smaller home or business premises.
We offer a straight forward clearance service of domestic items such as furniture, electricals, clothes and general household items. We do not clear builder’s rubble, garden waste, refuse, chemicals or at present offer probate valuations.
Our clearance services are always chargeable. We do not consider re-sale value of any items when quoting for clearance services. If you believe there are items in the property that can be sold, we would strongly recommend that you sell these items prior to a clearance team’s arrival. An auction house would be happy to come and give you a free valuation. Companies that mitigate the cost of the clearance with any resale value will never give you a competitive price for any valuable items, as this is how they make their money.
We charge for clearance by weight and volume, and special charges may also apply for certain items as the disposal of these is governed by European legislation. Once your clearance needs have been assessed, our team will remove the items ready for recycling,
Once we have cleared your property, in line with our environmental policy we will reuse as much as we are able through our charity network and then dispose of the remainder at a licensed recycling station.
